The snacks are made from real sweet potatoes and seasoned with a mild blend of cane sugar, molasses and salt to perfectly accent the natural sweetness of the potatoes. The Fridays Sweet Potato Skins will appear in convenience and grocery stores nationwide this month in 2.75-ounce and five-ounce bags, respectively. A convenient 1.35-ounce single-serve bag will also available in vending machines. The suggested retail price ranges from $1—$2.69 per package. "TGI Fridays Potato Skins appetizers have been a customer favorite in restaurants since 1974, and our ready-to-eat Potato Skins Snacks have grown to be just as beloved," says Steve Sklar, senior vice president and general manager at Inventure Foods. "With the recent popularity of sweet potatoes, we felt the time was right to introduce a unique spin on the Potato Skins Snacks that would resonate with our consumers." Sweet Potato Skins join the existing TGI Fridays snack line of Potato Skins Snacks that includes Cheddar & Bacon, Cheddar & Sour Cream, Jalapeno & Cheddar, Sour Cream & Onion, Chili Cheese and Bacon Ranch varieties. In addition to Potato Skins Snacks, the ready-to-eat TGI Fridays snack line includes Crunchy Fries, Onion Rings, Mozzarella Sticks, Jalapeno Poppers and Happy Hour Snack Mixes.
