Jim Cade Joins Ruan As Vice President of Fleet Services

Jim Cade has joined Ruan as vice president of fleet services. In his role, Cade will lead Ruan’s maintenance, fuel management, procurement, asset management and equipment sales teams. “We are fortunate to welcome Jim to our team,” says Ruan president of dedicated contract carriage Dan Van Alstine. “Jim brings an impressive and diverse background in fleet management, asset life cycle management and maintenance services.” In leadership positions with Ryder, ServiceMaster and most recently with USA Truck, Cade has developed and implemented metrics-based reporting systems, maintenance management systems and spearheaded numerous improvement projects. He has partnered with operations groups to use key performance indicators to improve reliability, lower cost and increase equipment productivity. Cade serves as a member of a number of industry groups, including key influencing roles with the maintenance council of the ATA and as a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
