The National Grocers Association (N.G.A.) has formed a partnership with Malvern, PA.-based Sterilox Fresh to provide its members with a special promotion for their Sterilox Fresh System for produce-a proprietary system that generates a food safe sanitizing solution to enhance the freshness and quality of produce, while providing an additional layer of food safety protection at the retail store level. "Sterilox Fresh provides a unique value proposition for independent retailers. Not only does the Sterilox Fresh System provide independents with a competitive advantage, but it also provides priceless value in reducing their food safety risk profile," said Peter Larkin, President and CEO of N.G.A. "We have partnered with Sterilox Fresh as their technology supports our mission of ensuring independent retailers and wholesalers the opportunity to succeed and better serve the consumer." "Freshness and quality continues to drive retail strategies. Our technology is an enabler to achieve the results retailers are looking for on their top line from improved quality as well as their bottom line from improvements in shrink and store operating efficiencies. Fortunately we are also able to provide a solution to a clear food safety risk at the store level," said Tom Daniel, SVP of Sterilox Fresh. "We are excited about developing this partnership with N.G.A. and look forward to helping independent grocers compete in fresh while protecting their brand."
