St. Ives Launches 4 Facial Items

es Swiss Formula announced it is launching four botanical facial treatments and repackaging three others.

The new products are: Cucumber & Elastin Stress Gel for Eyes and Face; Medicated Apricot Scrub Natural Fiber Skin Cleanser; Peaches and Cream Moisturizing Beauty Lotion and Raspberry Pearl Night Recovery Treatment Cream.

The products repackaged in new tubes are: Apricot Scrub with Soothing Elder Flower; Firming Masque with Pure Mineral Clay and Facial Cleanser & Makeup Remover.

All seven products will come in 5-ounce tubes and have a suggested retail of $2.69.

Premier Expands Its Exact Line

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Premier here announced its acne product line, Exact, has added a third item and is attempting to advance its sales to the food retail level.

The Exact line, launched in late 1992, consists of Exact Pimple and Acne Medication, Exact Deep Cleaning Treatment and the new Exact Tinted Acne Cream.

According to Michael Hudes, director of marketing for Exact, the company is using a large data base of teen-age consumers to answer surveys and use coupons related to Exact products. The company also has distributed nearly 1 million samples in the past year, according to Hudes.

Exact's flagship acne cream ranked 24th of more than 210 acne preparations in the latest chain drug audit report by Towne-Oller & Associates, New York.

Sherwood Unveils Tropical Cocktail

RADNOR, Pa., -- Sherwood Skincare here has launched a collection of bath and shower creams and shampoos called Tropical Cocktail that is aimed at the teen market.

The five all-natural "flavors" of cocktail combinations include: kiwifruit and lime, passion fruit and papaya, mango and guava, pineapple and coconut, and watermelon and lychee. The products are available in large, 500-milliliter containers individually, or in prepackaged sets of five.

Retail prices range from $4.95 to $9.95. According to Sherwood Skincare, Tropical Cocktail recently was picked up by some Publix Super Markets in Florida and Georgia.
