ATLANTA -- President Baking Co. here said it has completed a corporate-wide restructuring, giving the company a more "horizontal" structure.

Under the new structure, Liu is responsible for directing the company's finances, corporate strategy, business development and administration departments. Merrill Eastman, the company's president, is responsible for sales, marketing, operations/ technology, human resources, purchasing, the operational controller, the Girl Scout specialty business and international operations.

The reorganization was designed as a way to better meet market demands and customer satisfaction while producing greater efficiencies and profitability, according to the company.

President Baking, with annual sales of some $400 million, manufactures and distributes numerous regional and national branded product lines including: Famous Amos, Murray, Jack's, Jackson's, Greg's, Marietta's, Barbara Dee, Bishop's, Plantation, Olde New England, Mother's and Little Brownie Bakers. The company also manufacturers approximately 60% of the cookies for the annual Girl Scout campaign.
