Shop ‘n Save to Open New Location in Delmont

SHOP ‘n SAVE, the independently owned and operated grocery chain with more than 70 stores in Western Pa., Ohio and West Virginia, are opening a new SHOP ‘n SAVE in Delmont, Pa. The store will open to the public on May 24, with plans for a grand opening celebration in the works. The Delmont store is the first SHOP ‘n SAVE location for owner Doug Hayes, who has spent more than 25 years in the grocery business. Doug and his father, Mel Hayes, previously owned a Foodland in Kittanning. At 15,000 square-feet the full-service location will feature updated décor and new fixtures, and amenities will include a full-service deli, bakery and fresh cut meat. Shoppers will also be able to earn fuel savings through the SHOP ‘n SAVE Perks Card. The location will provide 25 new jobs to the area. “We are extremely excited to open our doors to the Delmont community,” says Hayes. “My wife and I look forward to becoming a part of that community and offering our customers the best possible savings on a variety of services.” Located at 207 Athena Drive, Delmont, Pa. 15626, the new store will be open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday.
