ELLENVILLE, N.Y. — A ShopRite store here is scheduled to reopen this Sunday after a fire three months ago caused extensive damage.

“While the damage caused by the fire was extensive, our commitment to the Ellenville community never wavered,” said Tom Urtz, ShopRite Supermarkets vice president of human resources and community affairs. “We turned this challenge into an opportunity to not only rebuild, but to remake the store and come back better than ever.”

Among the improvements, ShopRite of Ellenville will now offer wider aisles, expanded departments, an on-site registered dietitian to help customers shop for healthy choices or specialized dietary needs, and direct home grocery delivery.
