BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- BAMA Foods here has reached an agreement in principle for the sale of Laura Scudder's Natural Peanut Butter to J.M. Smucker Co., Orrville, Ohio.g of the transaction is expected to take place Dec. 9. No sale price was disclosed.BAMA Foods is a wholly owned subsidiary of Welch's, Concord, Mass. Welch's purchased BAMA Foods from Borden in July.
