SSI WORKERS NIX JOINING UNION

LATHROP, Calif. -- Employees of Super Store Industries Dry Grocery Warehouse division here have voted not to join Teamsters Local 439.

ficial confirmed the vote but declined further comment.

The Teamsters originally petitioned the National Labor Relations Board to hold a vote in June, but the agency didn't receive enough support from SSI employees.

Elections were held Nov. 3 and 4 by the NLRB.

SSI is a grocery distributor in central California servicing Raley's Supermarkets, West Sacramento, and Save Mart Supermarkets, Modesto.
