WOODBRIDGE, N.J. -- Supermarkets General Holdings Corp. here said last week its wholly owned subsidiary Plainbridge has agreed to sell Rickel Home Center to a new company formed by New York investment firm Eos Partners.

ckel's chain of 33 home-center stores generated approximately $344 million in sales in 1993, SGHC said.

In a separate deal, Eos Partners agreed to purchase Channel Home Centers from GE Capital Corp., Stamford, Conn. The 60-store Channel chain, which is based in Whippany, N.J., would be integrated into Rickle's operations and operate under the Rickle banner.
