The United Family Launches New Program to Promote Childhood Safety and Nutrition
January 1, 2018
The United Family announced expansion of the company’s rewards program with the launch of a new “Kids Club” at all 66 United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos, Albertsons Market and United Express locations in West Texas, Dallas-Fort Worth and New Mexico. The program introduces a brand new set of foodie friends who will promote nutrition and food fun through character adventures, games and special events designed to reward families with children. “Taking children to the supermarket is an essential part of family life, and our Kids Club helps make the experience more enjoyable for our guests, as well as their kids,” said Robin Cash, loyalty marketing manager for The United Family. “The program creates an atmosphere that is educational and provides an entertaining and interactive element that children will really enjoy.” The Kids Club features animated characters, known as The Munchsters, which are created from food and supermarket items and interact with both young children and older kids to engage and entertain during trips to United Family stores. The Kids Club calendar features in-store activities, such as a coloring contests, cooking programs and seasonal events. Children will receive a birthday card in the mail for a free sweet treat and party supply coupons to celebrate their special day. Members will also earn rewards at the beginning of each month on kid-friendly items, including granola bars, juice boxes, fruit snacks and more. In addition, to promote health and wellness, parents can choose from a free snack-size apple, orange or banana at all stores for their child to eat during their shopping trip.
