Online grocer Thrive Market has been named to the 2024 CNBC Disruptor 50 list. The annual list highlights private companies chasing some of the market’s biggest opportunities and bringing innovation and progress to major industries.

Since its founding in 2014, Thrive Market now carries more than 6,000 better-for-you items, from pantry staples to sustainable home and beauty products, including more than 500 under its own private label.

In February, the company became the first-ever online-only retailer to receive USDA approval to accept SNAP EBT payments online.

Roughly two-thirds of the 50 companies making the Disruptor 50 list describe artificial intelligence as “critical” to their businesses, with OpenAI capturing the top spot again this year. In all, the 2024 Disruptors have raised $70 billion at a total implied valuation of $436 billion.
