Tom Thumb, in partnership with Albertsons, is introducing a new grocery delivery program with a fleet of state-of-the-art home delivery trucks in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, offering customers convenient and affordable grocery shopping. Both Albertsons and Tom Thumb customers will be able to access this service online as well as the Tom Thumb delivery app, available on iOS and Android devices.

"Fast, easy, and convenient is what consumers want, and providing home delivery is our answer," says Dennis Bassler, president, Southern Division. "We are delighted to bring this service to our customers in North Texas."

To celebrate the launch and provide customers with additional savings, shoppers will receive $10 off and free delivery on their first delivery. The Tom Thumb grocery delivery service offers one-hour delivery windows and a shop-by-history feature that saves all previously purchased items for easy repeat purchasing.

"We've made online shopping extremely efficient," Bassler says. "The process is simple. Customers order online and select a delivery date and time. Our personal shoppers select the items and carefully load them into the refrigerated trucks for delivery."

Tom Thumb is launching the service in the metroplex with new delivery trucks to support the North Texas area. The new trucks are equipped with multiple-temperature zones so the frozen items stay frozen and the vegetables are crisp when delivered.
