United, Acosta Team to Help the MDA

LUBBOCK, Texas – United Supermarkets, Acosta Marketing and select suppliers have teamed to help fight neuromuscular disease through the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Aisles of Smiles promotion.

LUBBOCK, Texas — United Supermarkets, Acosta Marketing and select consumer goods manufacturers have teamed to help fight neuromuscular disease through the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Aisles of Smiles promotion.

Through Sept. 3, when shoppers purchase products labeled with “Aisles of Smiles” tags, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the MDA. Participating stores include all United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos and United Express stores in west Texas and Dallas/Fort Worth. The promotion kicked off July 31.

Starting Aug. 14 through the end of the promotion, shoppers can purchase Smiley Face scan tags during checkout for $1, with all proceeds going to the MDA. Guests are encouraged to write their name on the scan tags to be displayed in stores. The is the 15th year the retailer has participated in the event. Last year, United raised $70,779 for the MDA.
