The United Family has kicked off the Farmland Race with Royalty Sweepstakes at all of its United Supermarkets, Market Street, Albertsons Market, Amigos and United Express locations in Dallas-Fort Worth, West Texas and New Mexico. According to Ron Bonacci, senior director of marketing for The United Family, the Lubbock, Texas-based  grocery chain chose to take part in the program because historically, store guests enjoy participating in chance-to-win sweepstakes, especially when the grand prize is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. “We are looking forward to seeing our guests participate from Sept. 27 to Oct. 24,” Bonacci says. “When the opportunity presented itself to partner with Farmland and award a guest the chance to make the memory of a lifetime for doing their grocery shopping at United Family stores, we jumped at the chance.” Now through Oct. 24, when United Family guests purchase two or more Farmland Fresh pork items, they will be automatically entered into the Race with Royalty Sweepstakes. One grand prize winner will receive two race tickets and a garage tour for the Nov. 15 Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 at Phoenix Motor Speedway, as well as a meet and greet with racing legend Richard Petty and the current driver of the No. 43 race car, Aric Almirola. There will also be several runner-up prizes. “We are excited to share the world of racing with United Family guests. There is a natural connection between racing and food, and we know a significant number of race fans live in Texas and shop at United Family stores,” says Dennis Pittman, senior director of corporate communications for Farmland. “Racetracks host the best tailgates in the world, and now guests will be able to purchase premium Farmland ribs, pork chops, and tenderloins at United Family stores for their grill – whether they are at a track or in their backyard.” Farmland is a brand of Smithfield Foods.
