Rochester, NY, Sept. 23, 2010 - Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE:EK) today announced that CVS/pharmacy is the first national drug store chain to offer the new KODAK PYNK Smart Print System. CVS/pharmacy will begin wide-scale installations in 5,000 of its U.S. retail locations in early-December. Kodak expects to complete the PYNK System rollout for CVS/pharmacy just in time for the busy holiday gifting season.

In July, Kodak and CVS/pharmacy completed a successful trial of the PYNK Smart Print System at more than 30 CVS/pharmacy stores in Westchester County, NY. PYNK framed collages were very well received by consumers, with sales of the new PYNK collage frames exceeding industry averages for average turns per frame SKU.  CVS/pharmacy store associates, and in particular photo center clerks, reported that PYNK framed collages were simple to create and produced excellent output, solving a real consumer problem - so they were an easy sale.

"CVS/pharmacy has always been a bold first mover in photo center innovation with a keen eye on products that really capture consumers' attention," said Nicoletta Zongrone, general manager of Retail Systems Solutions and vice president, Eastman Kodak Company.  "It was the world's first national retailer to offer both KODAK Picture Movie DVDs and Photo Books, and we are proud to partner with them once again to introduce our newest innovation."

Consumer reaction to PYNK has been highly favorable.  Remarks from consumers who used the system included: "I love that it was incredibly simple to use;"  "The perfect fit of photos in a physical frame without any hassle;" "My photos look beautiful in the frame;" and "I like that it was easy to customize how I wanted the photos to appear."

Consumers can choose from a variety of collage frames and mattes that can be used in many existing frames. And it's easy to fill and refill mattes and collage frames again and again - the PYNK Smart Print Ready frames come with a unique Product ID card, which means that when it's convenient, the consumer simply brings the ID card back to the store and enters the product ID number into the PYNK-ready KODAK Picture Kiosk. The Kiosk will know what frame or mat the consumer has at home and will layout and print the pictures to match - no need to bring the frame or mat back to the store.

"Consistent with our strategy to deliver innovative, easy to execute solutions that solve real consumer problems, we've thoroughly tested our PYNK Smart Print System from concept to execution, and consumers love it! It's big, it's exciting and we're honored to have CVS/pharmacy be the first national retailer to offer PYNK to its customers," said Zongrone.
