To help customers stay healthy this flu season, vaccinations are now available at all Giant Food of Landover, Md. in-store pharmacies. Flu vaccinations are administered by Giant’s in-store pharmacists with no appointment needed.

“Giant is pleased to be able to administer flu shots to the communities we serve across Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and the District of Columbia,” says Paul Zvaleny, director of pharmacy operations of Giant Food of Landover, Md. “Our team is committed to supporting the health and wellness of all of our customers and that includes easy access to flu shots this season.”

Most insurance plans cover flu shots with no co-pays and Giant pharmacies bill them directly, including Medicare. Standard flu shots for both adults and children are available, as well as other flu vaccinations, including the “quad” and high dose vaccines. A pharmacist can explain applicable ages and details for children. Customers receiving flu shots will also receive a free coupon book with more than $40 in savings.

In addition to receiving their flu shots, all customers will be offered free vaccination reviews. With a few simple questions, Giant pharmacists are able to determine if customers are missing any recommended adult vaccinations.
