Loblaw extends pharmacy hours

BRAMPTON, ON - As part of its ongoing efforts to ensure customers get the best service, Loblaw Companies Limited (Loblaw) is pleased to announce today that it has extended its pharmacy hours at select Loblaw banner stores in Ontario. Not only do customers get the convenience of an in-store pharmacy when they shop for groceries and other home needs, they now will have the added benefit of enhanced pharmacy service with new extended hours.

"Our customers' interests are paramount and availability of quality service and care on a schedule that fits their lifestyle is important to them. We are constantly striving to ensure they get the best service, which includes extending opening hours," said Andrew Iacobucci, senior vice-president, Drug Business Unit, Loblaw Companies Limited.

Loblaw is also enhancing pharmacy service by rolling out new information technology and implementing new methods to improve prescription processing times in its pharmacies to allow pharmacists to spend more time with their patients. The Company is recruiting incremental pharmacy students and interns along with pharmacists to help ensure customers' needs are met.
