AWG to Implement Marketing Management Tool

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG) here, a retailer-owned cooperative serving over 2,500 retail stores, will implement the IntelliSense marketing resource management system from Retail Sense, Tampa, Fla.
The system identifies marketing activities for AWG’s retail outlets in 24 states to improve promotional planning, vendor negotiations and program execution. It offers dashboards personalized for AWG team members to view campaign calendars, task lists and milestone dates.
“AWG is focused on supporting our retail members with their strategic position in the marketplace,” said Steve Arnold, senior vice president of merchandising and marketing for Associated Wholesale Grocers, in a statement. “With IntelliSense software we gain unprecedented access to merchandising and historical data, improving our ability to track and measure our vendor programs.”
