Same-day delivery service Shipt and retail media platform CitrusAd are launching a new partnership to deliver media performance, measurement and reporting to the thousands of brands that are sold on the Shipt marketplace. Through the CitrusAd platform, this new technology integration offers the ability to launch natively served in-grid display ads and sponsored-product advertising in some of the most valuable positions within the Shipt experience. The technology will be available to brands starting this October.

“We are extremely excited to be welcomed into Shipt’s ecosystem, we look forward to enhancing their retail media offering to CPGs across the U.S.A. It’s going to be an exciting and very impactful journey our two companies embark on together,” said Greg Krzysiak, director of retail partnerships at CitrusAd, in a statement.

“As we continue to grow our retail partnerships and expand the categories we serve, our team works hand-in-hand with brands to meet their unique needs and effectively reach customers,” said David Young, VP of consumer packaged goods at Shipt. “We know many of our partner brands already leverage CitrusAd’s technology, and we’re thrilled this integration will make it easy for them to optimize campaigns.”

Shipt, an independently operated, wholly owned subsidiary of Target Corp., connects retailers to customers in more than 5,000 cities nationwide, offering a multitude of product categories including fresh foods, household essentials, wellness products, office and pet supplies. The company seeks to deliver personalized experiences to both customers and brand partners, and that extends to the company’s retail media solutions.

Strong investment from consumer packaged goods companies in digital retail media continues to accelerate innovation in the space, says CitrusAd, which says its platform delivers average conversion rates at 60% to 70% and an average return-on-ad-spend across all categories of between 200% and 400%.

CitrusAd of St. Petersburg, Fla., was recently named a leader by global research and advisory firm Forrester in its The Forrester Wave: Sell-Side Retail Media Solutions, Q3 2021 report. “CitrusAd offers superior onsite search, display media, and measurement capabilities in an easy-to-use platform.” Forrester noted. CitrusAd also ranked highest in the performance, and measurement and reporting criteria, and received the highest scores possible in nine other criteria, including partner ecosystem.

Shipt recently announced its largest nationwide expansion in three years, extending its same-day delivery service to more than two million additional households from retailers such as CVS, GNC, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Shipt joins CitrusAd’s ad network where advertisers can manage and deploy campaigns to shoppers of over 22,000 retail sites from one platform.

Shipt and CitrusAd will be offering demonstrations of the integration at the 2021 Groceryshop conference. CitrusAd is also hosting an hour-long webinar to introduce Shipt suppliers to the new platform on Oct. 7, 2021. Suppliers will learn how to navigate the interface, setup and launch campaigns and monitor performance.
