JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Winn-Dixie Stores has selected distribution management and transportation lifecycle management systems from Manhattan Associates designed to bolster its supply chain operations and get its products to shelves faster and more efficiently.

Winn-Dixie, a subsidiary of Bi-Lo Holding, is looking to the technology “to help us drive our key initiative of providing the freshest dairy, meat and produce from local providers to our customers," said Chris Scott, senior vice president, supply chain and logistics, Winn-Dixie, in a statement. "Our goal is to bring the farm closer to the fork by connecting every link in our supply chain operation."

In particular, Winn-Dixie purchased the Warehouse Management, Slotting Optimization and Labor Management solutions from the Distribution Management suite of the Manhattan Scope portfolio, along with Yard Management and Fleet Management application from the Transportation Lifecycle Management product suite. In addition, the grocer purchased Supply Chain Intelligence, Total Cost to Serve, and the Extended Enterprise Management product suite.
