A new database containing a list of training programs and other resources with information on HACCP is available through the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The database is designed to support the increasing educational information needs of retailers implementing HACCP programs, according to the USDA.

Although FSIS has published a proposal to make HACCP procedures mandatory for processors, there are no similar proposals planned for supermarket retailers, said Jacque Knight, an FSIS spokesperson.
