One for you, one for me: Child Hunger Ends Here

Continuing toward its goal to donate five million meals to Feeding America, the largest network of food banks in the United States, ConAgra Foods’ ongoing cause marketing campaign to end child hunger in America, Child Hunger Ends Here, is preparing for its third installment.

Child hunger affects more than 1 in 5 children in the United States, and 72 percent of Americans agree, it’s a problem that needs a solution.1 Hoping to build upon the success of the last on-pack promotion, through which consumers donated 2.5 million meals, the latest installment runs from March to May 2012. The spring campaign features top brands Banquet, Chef Boyardee, Health Choice, Hunt’s, Manwich, Marie Callender’s, Orville Redenbacher’s, Peter Pan and Snack Pack.

Like last time, a call to action on packaging will drive consumers to www.childhungerendshere.com to enter codes that translate into a one meal donation to Feeding America. A code entry triggers a coupon for participants to use on their next ConAgra Foods purchase.

“This campaign gives shoppers a unique opportunity to provide a meal to those in need at the same time that they provide a meal to their own family,” said Kori Reed, Vice President, ConAgra Foods Foundation and Cause. “Everyone wins, except hunger.”

Retailers can help join the fight against child hunger by ensuring high-quality feature and displays are in place in time for the on-pack consumer promotion beginning this March.
