Bob’s Red Mill developed the mix in response to customer demand for an easy way to make flaky gluten free pie crust. “We hear all the time from our customers who eat gluten free that they want to be able to easily enjoy the same kinds of treats and baked goods as those who do not eat gluten free diets,” says Bob Moore, founder, president and CEO of employee-owned Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods. “With our new Gluten Free Pie Crust mix, we are filling a real void and making a lot of pie fans very happy.” Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Pie Crust mix whips up easily with just butter and water. Each 16-ounce bag includes enough mix to make two nine-inch pie crusts that are every bit as scrumptious as traditional pie crust and perfect for any pie recipe, sweet or savory, officials add. To help consumers get the most out of the mix, Bob’s Red Mill is also providing a number of recipes, photos, videos and more through the company’s website. The special pie-themed content can be found at bobsredmill.com/pie. Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Pie Crust mix is just the latest addition to the company’s wide assortment of gluten free baking mixes. That assortment includes gluten free vanilla and chocolate cake mixes, brownie mix, cookie mixes, pancake mix, pizza crust mix and various bread mixes. In all, Bob’s Red Mill offers more than 80 gluten free mixes, flours, cereals and whole grains. Bob’s Red Mill has been a leader in providing all natural, safe and delicious gluten free foods for more than 30 years. All of its gluten free products are made in a dedicated 100% gluten free facility, and all gluten free ingredients are batch tested in the company’s quality control laboratory with an R5 ELISA Gluten Assay test. Finished products are also batch tested a final time after packaging to ensure the absence of gluten. “We strive to provide our customers with a wide range of safe and delicious gluten free options, from whole grains to flours to cereals,” says Matthew Cox, marketing director at Bob’s Red Mill. “Sometimes they just want a treat, and for those occasions we have a number of delicious baking mixes that people can enjoy with the same confidence as our other gluten free products.” Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Pie Crust mix is available now to retailers, as well as at www.bobsredmill.com, and the 16-ounce bag has an MSRP of $4.49.
