Unlike some “cardboard-like” vegetarian patties with ingredients that are hard to pronounce, these are packed with real ingredients and deliver exceptional taste and texture, say company officials. “Our ingredients read like a recipe,” says Marie Osmunson, founder and Chief Eternal Optimist (CEO). “Our veggie patties are made with wholesome ingredients that you could find in your own kitchen.” Chez Marie’s Hearty Hemp Seed vegetarian patties feature organic long grain brown rice, gluten-free oats, hemp seeds, flax seeds and organic coconut sugar. As an added health bonus: some clinical studies now indicate that hemp products may help reduce inflammation and support heart health, say officials. The patties are also vegan; gluten-, corn-, soy and GMO-free; contain Omegas 3, 6 and 9; only 130 calories per serving; and sold in sustainable product packaging that is biodegradable and recyclable. The company's full vegetarian patty product line includes five variaties: Marie’s Homestyle, The “original;” Spicy Bean, zesty with a hint of jalapeno; WOW Mushroom, Packed with Portobello’s; Wholesome Harvest, A veggie explosion; Hearty Hemp Seed, The “good seed” (hemp and flax, that is). All veggie patties are all non-GMO project verified, gluten-free, corn-free and soy-free, and have a SRP of $4.99 for a package of four 2.5-oz patties. Chez Marie www.chezmarie.com
