Coromega, maker of emulsified fish and vegetarian oils designed to provide healthy fats, has unveiled new Coromega Max, a new omega-3 squeeze that delivers Coromega’s highest omega-3 dosage in two new flavors: Orange Citrus Burst and Coconut Bliss.

Coromega Max delivers 2,400mg of omega-3s in each two-packet dosage, and is clinically proven to have 300 percent better absorption than soft gels. A recent study in the Journal of Lipids found that Coromega’s omega-3 supplements provide exceptional bioavailability of omega-3s compared to soft gels and other emulsified liquids, company officials say. The term bioavailability refers to the body’s ability to absorb a particular nutrient or medicine into the body that is ingested orally. Fish oil is traditionally difficult to digest, which makes it more challenging for the body to absorb omega-3s. However, the fish oil droplets in Coromega’s emulsified formulas are smaller and more bioavailable, making them easier to digest and absorb omega-3s, and allowing for faster passage into the digestive tract, according to company officials.

“We believe in the transformative power of healthy fats to drive wellness, and our new Max innovation delivers a mega dose of essential healthy fats in a fresh way we know consumers will be excited about,” says Andrew Aussie, executive vice president and COO of Coromega. “Coromega Max offers an even higher concentration of omega-3s, so consumers no longer have to rely on four to ten soft gels to get their daily dose of omega-3s. This higher dosage is extremely important for consumers who want to gain the most health benefit out of their omega-3 supplement. Most clinical studies show the highest dosages of 2,000-3,000 omega-3 daily are associated with the best results for heart health, athletic performance and overall health.”

Coromega Max offers 1,240mg of DHA and EPA omega-3s in a daily squeeze, plus 1,000 IU of vitamin D to support calcium absorption and bone health. This higher dosage is achieved through a higher concentration of fish oil and allows consumers to gain the most benefit from the omega-3 supplement. Unlike traditional fish oil soft gels, Coromega Max features the brand’s unique emulsified technology for better-taste, and is packaged in a signature multi-layer pouch that reduces oxidation by blocking sunlight and oxygen to provide better efficacy and freshness. Coromega Max is available in 60 count stand-up pouches.

Coromega Max is now available at select vitamin, natural, and drug stores nationwide, including: Whole Foods, GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Vitamin World, Wegmans, HEB, Meijer, and online at Amazon.com, iHerb.com, Vitacost.com, Coromega.com and more.
