Chicago Vegan Foods, makers of Dandies all-natural, Non-GMO Project Verified and gelatin-free alternative to conventional marshmallows, has updated its packaging. Designed in shades of refreshing blue, a background of clouds and playful fonts, the bags portray a lighthearted feel and feature the Dandies’ marshmallow man wearing his bow tie that consumers have grown to love, say company officials.

The front of the bag clearly highlights the product’s key attributes: all natural, Non-GMO Project Verified, and certified Kosher by cRc. It also showcases the light and fluffy marshmallows in a cloud-shaped package window. When consumers flip over the bag, they’ll have a chance to read about the inspiration for Dandies’ marshmallows, see a recipe for classic crispy treats, and review the product’s nutritional information and ingredients.

In addition, an illustrated Dandies’ branded airplane carries with it a ribbon of product call-outs, including vegan, gluten free, gelatin free, fat free, dairy free and nut free.

“Though the tried and true recipe for our popular, flagship lineup of Dandies Marshmallows hasn’t changed, the packaging and brand image was craving a new look,” says Dan Reed, marketing director for Chicago Vegan Foods. “We wanted to keep the same fun-loving feel of the original package but redesign it to better promote Dandies’ unique qualities. We’re really pleased with how it all turned out.”

Completely free of artificial ingredients and high fructose corn syrup, Dandies are produced in the company’s dedicated facility, which is free of dairy, eggs, peanuts and tree-nuts. Dandies Classic Vanilla Marshmallows are available in big (campfire style) and mini sizes at Whole Foods Market and other natural foods stores across the U.S., Canada and select International markets. Dandies will bring back its popular pumpkin flavor this fall and introduce a new peppermint variety for the holidays; each will be featured in seasonal packaging. The suggested retail price for Dandies’ marshmallows is $4.99 for a 10-ounce package.
