Anticipating demand, Bulumu has also taken an important step in scaling up production by partnering with a leading co-manufacturer with cereal experience.  With this move comes new pre-printed packaging featuring a clean design that clearly communicates key product benefits, and a large window allowing consumers to see the high-quality ingredients first hand. “We’re excited to partner with UNFI to bring our all-natural and premium low-fatBulumu granolas to more retailers in the West, where consumers have already shown enthusiasm for our products,” said Bulumu co-founder Brandon Bailey, “This is an important milestone in growing our brand and taking the business to the next level”. Just two years ago, Bailey and his partner, Jasmine Oeinck, launched the company based on recipes that Oeinck developed and shared with teammates while living and training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. “We started by making granola, putting it in ziplock bags, and giving it to neighbors,” Oeinck recounts of the first few days of launching the hopeful business. “Now we can’t wait to bring the healthy and delicious recipes West with UNFI’s support”. Bulumu currently has three flavors of low-fat, all-natural granola cereals: Red White Blueberry, Orange-Ginger Cranberry, and Cinnamon Chai Walnut. All are currently available at Whole Foods Market Rocky Mountain and independent natural retailers in Colorado, Utah, Kansas, and California. All products are low-fat, have no added oil and are wheat-, soy- and dairy-free.
