InBalance Health announced that the company has secured its first retail store orders for INBar, a gluten-free snack bar for people with Prediabetes and Type 2 Diabetes. The first stores to carry INBar include: Belmark Inc., Cambridge Naturals, Health Store & More, Healthy Alternatives, Lifestyle Wellness & Spa and Organic Food Depot. Created to help consumers better manage their weight by minimizing blood sugar spikes and controlling hunger, the INBar is free of chemicals and artificial sweeteners and offers balanced, whole food nutrients that will fill consumers up for hours. INBars come in four flavor varieties—strawberry banana, chocolate mint, chocolate fudge and chocolate cherry. The product debuted at Natural Products East and, according to company officials, features:
Slowly digested carbs to minimize blood sugar spikes and manage hunger
High fiber, low net carbs
No added sugar
High in protein
Doctor-formulated to be diabetic-friendly
Allergen-free, with no gluten, casein, nuts, wheat, corn, dairy, soy or eggs
100% Vegan
Organic and natural ingredients
No preservatives or additives
“We are thrilled that word has spread so quickly about the INBar,” says Dr. Don VerHulst, Chief Science Officer of InBalance Health. “The INBar brings to the market a great tasting, gluten-free food bar, that, while focused on individuals with Prediabetes and Type 2 Diabetes, is actually a healthy snack for anyone looking to manage their glucose or weight.” In addition to the INBar, InBalance Health also expects to introduce its line of supplements by the end of the year. The supplements compliment the INBar and are designed to deliver targeted nutrients to support blood glucose and weight management, as well as proper circulation, eye and nerve function and a balance of vitamins and minerals required on a daily basis. The supplement formula employs the patent-pending ingredient MoruCelTM Mulberry Leaf Extract to help stabilize post-meal blood sugar levels, limiting spikes by inhibiting the absorption of sugars and carbohydrates.
