Kroger and Partners to Raise $2.5 Million for Breast Cancer Research
Pink tags will adorn the shelves of Kroger stores again this year as it gears up to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

CINCINNATI — Pink tags will adorn the shelves of Kroger stores again this year as it gears up to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Beginning this weekend, the tags will be used to identify participating products customers can purchase to support breast cancer awareness in their community. Several of Kroger’s vendor partners, including Campbell Soup, have created special packaging to support the campaign. In addition, six Kroger employees who are also breast cancer survivors will share their stories on specially marked packages of Kellogg products. Kroger and its vendor partners have committed to raising $2.5 million during the campaign to support breast cancer research and awareness. “This cause is important to our customers and associates, and we are honored to do our part to provide support to help educate women about early detection, diagnosis and treatment,” said David B. Dillon, Kroger chairman and chief executive officer, in a statement.
