Maui Maid comes in three flavors: Original, Spicy and Onion. The creators of Maui Maid take the quality of their products and recipes very seriously. They mix their sauces in small batches, incorporating only the finest hand-selected ingredients, officials add. All Maui Maid sauces are gluten-free and Non-GMO Verified. As consumers become more conscious of their food choices, these factors are becoming increasingly important. "Our growth has been nothing short of phenomenal, and we're proud of the success that we've had so far," says Pamela Mikesell, owner of Maui Maid. "By year's end, we anticipate being in more than 1,000 stores across the continental U.S., Hawaii and Alaska. Our recent approvals by The Fresh Market and Whole Foods NorCal keeps us on track to reaching our goal of 1,000 stores." Forty people participated in a test between Maui Maid and eight other leading teriyaki sauces. The sauces were used to season chicken kabobs prior to grilling. Thirty-six of the forty testers preferred Maui Maid Teriyaki Marinade over the competition, officials say. What does Ivan Flowers, executive chef at Top of the Market in San Diego, Calif., say about Maui Maid? "Maui Maid is a marinade that tastes like no other teriyaki currently on the market. It can truly transform a dish." For those who can't find Maui Maid on local shelves, the sauce is also available through online retailers.
