Vintage Italia, the parent company behind the Pasta Chips brand, expanded its portfolio of baked pasta snacks with the launch of their newest innovation, Pasta Bow Ties. Crafted from fresh pasta dough, the bowtie-shaped pasta chips are gently baked and offered in the snack aisle as a better-for- you chip alternative.

The brand integrates durum wheat semolina flour and farro, a higher protein grain for a more nutrient-dense product, and embeds fine seasonings based on regional Italian favorites. The Bow Ties are offered in four classic flavors: Meatball Parm, Creamy Ranch, Honey Butter, and Smooth Cheddar.

“With Pasta Chips, we really created an entirely new snacking category – chips baked from fresh pasta dough,” says Jerry Bello, founder and CEO of Pasta Chips. “Pasta Bow Ties takes this innovation a step further, offering a better-for- you and flavor-packed option perfect for snacking straight out of the bag, and easily found alongside conventional chips in your local snack aisle. We maintain our dedication to using the same quality durum wheat semolina flour, as well as integrating protein-dense ancient grains and the Italian herbs that pay homage to our traditional Italian heritage,” Bello continues. “Anything that can be done with pasta, can be done with Pasta Chips, and Pasta Bow Ties is a reflection of the incredible versatility of fresh pasta dough. As the first in the industry to mimic the pasta aisle in a snack form, we’re enthusiastic about setting the new standard for modern-day snacking and we couldn’t be more excited to share this crispy, flavorful baked snack with our consumers.”

Founded by Bello, a Florida-based food entrepreneur, Pasta Bow Ties are made with all-natural ingredients and are vegan, non-GMO, OUD Kosher certified, and cholesterol-free. With only 120 calories per serving, and a similar carbohydrate count to most options in the chip aisle, this delicious, satisfying snack offers consumers a guilt-free option. Pasta Bow Ties officially launched nationally in Safeway/Albertsons in 2016 and are also available in Sam’s Club (Southwest region), GIANT Food Stores, Market Basket, Food City, Woodman’s Markets, Shopko, Jewel-Osco, and in select Costco regions, with more retail updates to follow throughout 2017.
