Pastry Smart continues to impress us with their creative and cutting-edge organic products made with the highest quality ingredients. We value our close relationship with this esteemed brand and look forward to working together to advance the baking category,” says Bob Johnston, bakery category director, KeHE Distributors. Unique ‘Bake-able Bread Bag’ Maintains Organic Integrity Using an innovative, patented process, the ‘bake-able bread bag’ enables the retailer to keep the organic chain of custody intact, by baking the bread in a custom designed bag, company officials say. With a perforated inner lining, allowing for ventilation, the bag is self-sealing heat activated in the oven during baking. These features allow for the bread to maintain freshness and a longer shelf life of up to four days.
