These veggie-based Stage 2 meals are designed to introduce little palates to exciting recipes from Thailand, Mexico, Italy and Morocco. “International cuisine has become increasingly mainstream in the U.S.—we now know more than half of babies born here come from ethnic backgrounds. Our consumers want their babies to explore these new flavors and ingredients, but don't always know how to adapt and simplify them, says Asha Datta, senior brand manager on the baby business.  “World Baby blends contain a hint of spice like basil (Italy), ginger (Thailand) and cilantro (Mexico), and trendy ingredients like quinoa, lentils, ginger, coconut cream and extra virgin olive oil to encourage a love of adventurous eating." The four globally inspired blends include Roasted Pumpkin & Coconut Rice, Beans & Rice with Sweet Corn, Zucchini & Spinach with Pasta Marinara, and Lentils & Roasted Squash with Apricots. The certified organic and non-GMO recipes are packaged in BPA-free, resealable pouches for a suggested retail price of $1.79. Based in Emeryville, Calif., Plum Organics is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Campbell Soup Company.
