This oatmeal season, Quaker, a subsidiary of PepsiCo, Inc., introduces a line of gluten-free oatmeal so that those who consume gluten-free foods can enjoy the great taste of Quaker Oats.

Delivering the same taste of traditional Quaker Oats that consumers love and trust, company officials say that new Quaker Gluten Free Oatmeal will be available in three varieties, all of which are clearly labeled as gluten-free: Quaker Quick 1-Minute Standard Oats (18-ounce canister) and Quaker Instant Oatmeal (single-serve pouches) in both Original and Maple & Brown Sugar flavors. These delicious, nutritious, gluten-free oats give oatmeal lovers energy to help get them going, fiber to help fill them up and whole grains to help support heart health, officials add.

“At Quaker, we’re always striving to deliver products that meet families’ evolving needs. Requests for gluten-free oats have been among the top inquiries from our consumers for the past several years,” says Becky Frankiewicz, senior vice president of Quaker Foods. “Our expert millers are the best and most passionate in the business, and they’ve taken the time and extreme care to develop great-tasting, gluten-free offerings in which consumers can be confident.”

For many, leading a gluten-free lifestyle is necessary for their health. Although oats are naturally gluten-free, stray wheat, rye, barley and spelt may be introduced during farming, storing and transportation. Through the development of a rigorous cleaning system, the millers at Quaker have used their expertise to remove stray grains to deliver oats that meet FDA standards for gluten-free. Additionally, multiple quality checks throughout the milling process up through finished product testing confirm Quaker’s ability to produce gluten-free oats.

New Quaker Gluten Free Oats are available nationally starting January 2016. They join the brand’s Select Starts line – which includes Instant Quaker Oatmeal offerings that address a variety of consumer preferences, such as fiber and protein.

The suggested retail price of the Quaker Gluten Free Quick 1-Minute Oats (18-ounce canister) is $3.99 and the Quaker Gluten Free Instant Oatmeal (Original and Maple & Brown Sugar varieties) is $4.19.  For more information about Quaker’s latest innovations and recipe ideas, visit www.QuakerOats.com.
