Torie & Howard Expands Distribution of Organic Candy

Torie & Howard’s organic candy has expanded its national distribution. The candy is now available in the New York City metropolitan area through Max Natural Foods of New Hyde Park, N.Y.

In the western U.S., Sprouts in Phoenix and New Leaf Community Markets, Santa Cruz, Calif., carry Chewie Fruities fruit chews through KeHE Distributors of Naperville, Ill. Nugget Markets, Woodland, Calif.; Lassens Natural Food, Ventura, Calif., and Huckleberry’s Natural Market, Spokane, Wash., have added the Chewie Fruities through UNFI of Providence, R.I., said Torie Burke, company co-founder. Nugget Markets also has added two-ounce tins of the organic hard candy. 

Times Supermarket, Honolulu, also carries the tins through Hawaiian Intercontinental Corporation. Earth Fare, headquartered in Fletcher, N.C., has added Chewie Fruities through UNFI, and Supervalu Shop ‘n Save, Wildwood, Mo., is carrying the tins through KeHE, Burke added.

Torie & Howard candy is USDA Organic, kosher certified, and contains no preservatives, artificial dyes or genetically engineered ingredients. It is free from major allergens, including soy, wheat, gluten, nuts and dairy. Chewie Fruities candies are made in the USA and available in three of the same sophisticated flavor duos of Torie & Howard’s organic hard candy, plus a flavor assortment. A serving of the organic and kosher certified candy provides the daily requirement of vitamin C. They are individually wrapped in gusseted four-ounce peg packs with a suggested retail price of $3.99, ship six to a case and 48 to a master case, and a display shipper is available.

The two-ounce tins of the organic hard candy have a suggested retail price of $3.99-$4.99 and are available eight per case with 12 cases to a master case. Also available are a Halloween hard candy assortment packaged in 10-ounce lie-flat bags and a six-ounce handbag gift package, both with SRPs of $6.99 to $7.99. Floor displays are also available.
