BJ’s expansion continues in New York with new club opening Friday

BJ’s Wholesale Club will open its 47th location in New York on Friday, bringing the Marlborough, Massachusetts-based club’s count to 232 stores across 18 states, BJ’s said Monday.

The 100,592-square-foot club will be located at 399 Tarrytown Road in White Plains, New York.

“Our team can’t wait to open our doors on Friday and welcome both new and existing members into our brand-new club,” said Jorge Cedeno, the new club's manager, in a statement. “We are thrilled to be a part of BJ’s continued expansion in the state of New York, and be able to bring the value and convenience that our members know and love to the community here."

The new location features fresh foods and produce, a full-service deli, household essentials, pet supplies and the retailer’s signature "treasure-hunt experience" for BJ’s members. Curbside pickup, ExpressPay and same-day delivery will also be available, BJ’s said in a statement. 

For a limited time, the club is offering a founding member offer for local shoppers interested in joining the club through Thursday. Local shoppers can sign up for a one-year BJ’s Inner Circle membership for $25. BJ’s said it is also offering local shoppers a one-year BJ’s Perks Rewards membership for $65.

BJ’s Charitable Foundation is proud to support the local community through its Feeding Communities program. In White Plains, BJ’s food bank partner is Feeding Westchester.

“Feeding Westchester’s mission is to nourish our neighbors in the fight against hunger, made possible through our partnerships with organizations like BJ’s Wholesale Club,” said Karen C. Erren, Feeding Westchester president and CEO, in a statement.

BJ’s, which posted a strong second quarter with its grocery business as a top growth driver, opened its first location in Indiana last month as part of its expansion plans.

BJ’s Wholesale Club is headquartered at 350 Campus Drive in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
