E-commerce platform eGrowcery and Door Dash have partnered to provide on-demand delivery for grocery retailers all while putting control and data ownership back in the hands of the retailer, Ann Arbor, Mich.-based eGrowcery said in an April 6 release. Using DoorDash Drive—DoorDash's white-label fulfillment platform that powers direct delivery for businesses—grocers will gain access to DoorDash’s logistics network, eGrowcery said.

"By teaming up with DoorDash, we are able to offer our retail customers a turn-key solution to help them address their local commerce needs. The combination of eGrowcery’s intuitive shopping experience and fully integrated fulfillment process with DoorDash’s scale and convenience is very compelling," said Patrick Hughes, CEO of eGrowcery, in a statement. "All of these benefits and retailers maintain a direct connection with shoppers through their own branded app, enabling them to profitably grow their business."

The eGrowcery platform is as an omnichannel solution that integrates with back-office/point-of-sale systems while enabling retailers to personalize their own shopper experience integration—not unlike Walmart’s partnership with Cogentry Labs—all while boosting delivery capabilities.

In other recent news, eGrowcery announced a partnership with Thibodaux, La.-based Rouses Markets to expand Rouses Markets' e-commerce and convenience for curbside pickup.

“We continue to invest in new partnerships and technologies like eGrowcery to give our customers the very best shopping experience, both in-store or online,” said Donny Rouse, CEO of Rouses Markets, in a statement. “With eGrowcery, our own team members, the people who know our stores and selection better than anyone else, hand-select every product ordered for curbside pickup. It’s like having your favorite Rouses team member as your own personal shopper.”
