e has appointed Glenn L. Habern senior vice president and chief information officer, succeeding Dick Silvers, who left the company.
Habern most recently served as senior vice president and chief information and business process officer at Fingerhut, Minnetonka, Minn. Prior to that he worked in information systems at Wal-Mart, Bentonville, Ark., where he was involved in installing its satellite network.
H-E-B operates 229 supermarkets in Texas.
