MIS VP Added by Supervalu

Peter Bellavance has been named vice president of management information services for the retail food companies of Supervalu here, a new position.

Bellavance most recently served as senior director of information services at Cub Foods, Stillwater, Minn., a subsidiary of Supervalu. He was succeeded by Manny Moslemi.

Moslemi has assumed information services responsibilities at Cub Foods in the newly created position of vice president of information services. Moslemi previously was vice president of information technology at American Stores, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Byrd Names Hartless MIS VP

BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Byrd Food Stores here has appointed Robert Hartless vice president of management information systems, a new position.

Hartless, who has been with the company 10 years, most recently served as director, MIS. In his new role, he is responsible for technology and operations at both the corporate and store levels.

Byrd Food Stores operates 42 stores in North Carolina and one in Virginia.
