FMI–The Food Industry Association’s Midsummer Strategic Executive Exchange Conference, set for June 21-25, will take place online again this year as the pandemic continues to deter in-person events.
“Last year, we conceived the Midsummer event as a means of helping our industry work through the effects of the national emergency and engage in collaborative discussions about urgent pandemic-related concerns,” said FMI President and CEO Leslie Sarasin in a release. “One year later, we had hoped Midsummer would be a celebratory return to an in-person event for our business leaders in June; however, the environment continues to demand and reaffirm the need for a digital forum that encourages extensive trading partner collaboration as our country moves toward economic recovery.”
The event’s online forum is designed for executives and their teams to discuss key business issues, establish priorities and discuss implementation of agreed-to business plans for the balance of 2021 and forecast into 2022.
“Across five powerful days at Midsummer, our members will focus on the road ahead—intent on safely continuing to feed our nation—by engaging in dynamic discussions, networking across diverse retail and product supplier companies, listening to insights regarding the most pressing business issues, and curating up to 34 private trading partner meetings through the Strategic Executive Exchange program,” Sarasin said.
Midsummer Strategic Executive Exchange Conference is the second in FMI’s previously announced three-part series of 2021 trading partner opportunities. Learn more about the June event at www.FMI.org/Midsummer.
