Hormel Foods Corporation was recognized for outstanding partnership in two categories by Walmart at the retailer’s year-end award ceremony. Hormel Foods was honored for providing superior customer service and for being a collaborative, innovative and valued partner during their 2013 fiscal year. Included in the recognition were the company’s subsidiaries Jennie-O Turkey Store and Farmer John, its Specialty Foods business unit, and MegaMex, the joint venture between Hormel Foods and Herdez del Fuerte. In 2012, the company was named the Walmart Supplier of the Year for overall best supplier performance and partnership. The two awards Hormel Foods received for fiscal year 2013 were:

  • Dry Grocery Supplier of the Year, and

  • Food Supplier of the Year.

“To continue to be recognized by Walmart for our partnership and efforts to drive sales is truly appreciated by the entire organization,” said Patrick J. Connor, vice president at Hormel Foods and senior vice president of sales-Walmart. “It’s recognition of our hardworking team and further solidifies our continued growth and alignment strategies with one of our top customers.”
