Kroger promoted the sale in a full-page ad in the Atlanta Journal/Constitution, on the day of the event. The headline read: "Meat Prices Worth Running For! Today Only!" The source said a preview ad had also been run prior to the sale day.
Most items were featured with a price cut of at least $1 per pound.
