KROGER HIRES JOHNSON AS GROUP VP, MIS

CINCINNATI -- Carver L. Johnson will join The Kroger Co. here as group vice president of MIS effective Dec. 6. In his new position, Johnson will have corporate-wide responsibility for computer operations and services, store systems, network systems management and operations systems. Johnson replaces Thomas D. Murphy.
