CINCINNATI — Kroger Co. here said Wednesday that it has promoted Joe Miskimins to vice president of produce and floral.

Miskimins, who joined Kroger in 1980 and has held a range of management positions, most recently had been vice president of merchandising at the company's QFC banner in the Pacific Northwest. In his new post he succeeds Reggie Griffin, who retired this summer. Miskimins reports to Jeff Burt, Kroger's group vice president of perishables.

"Joe is a strong leader who is passionate about delivering the best products and services to our customers, and he has the expertise to deliver," said Burt in a prepared statement. "We're excited that Joe will lead our produce and floral team and look forward to his contributions."
