CINCINNATI — Kroger shoppers can't download Procter & Gamble's eSaver coupons to their loyalty cards as of Dec. 31, according to Procter & Gamble. P&G distributed an email Tuesday to all those who are registered for the P&G eSaver program informing them of the upcoming change.
"Please redeem all P&GeSaver coupons you now have on your Kroger Shopper's Card by December 31, 2009," the email read, which also included and apology. "We value your loyalty to P&G eSaver and are very sorry for any inconvenience this causes."
P&G encouraged shoppers to continue using its traditional promotional offers. "Don’t forget: You still can take advantage of valuable P&G samples and savings delivered right to your home through the 'P&GbrandSampler,'" P&G stated in the email.
Kroger has been offering P&GeSaver digital coupons on its Web site since early 2008. It is unclear what prompted the change. Representatives from Kroger and P&G were unavailable for comment. The email did not mention any changes at Safeway, another retailer that provides P&G eSaver digital coupons on its website.
