Ralphs, Food 4 Less Hold Open Interviews for Veterans and Their Families
Ralphs and Food 4 Less have a long history of supporting the nation's military members and veterans.
Ralphs Grocery Company will be holding open interviews for all military veterans and their family members on Wednesday, Nov. 9. The one-day hiring event is part of a company-wide initiative to fill an estimated 400 positions in its 197 stores.
"Ralphs is deeply committed to the nation's veterans and their families, and we continue to seek out opportunities to honor heroes through career opportunities," says Valerie Jabbar, president of Ralphs. "Ralphs is a place where you can come for a job and stay for a career," she added, noting that the majority of Ralphs store managers started as part-time clerks.
Food 4 Less stores serving Southern California and the greater Chicago, Ill. area will also hold open interviews on Wednesday, Nov. 9 for all military veterans and their family members.
Interviews will be held at 95 Food 4 Less stores in Southern California and at 14 Food 4 Less stores in the greater Chicago area. Job interviews for military veterans will also be held at the company's 22 Foods Co stores, which serve central and northern California. Ralphs and Food 4 Less have a long history of supporting the nation's military members and veterans. Through their Honoring Our Heroes program, Ralphs and Food 4 Less, along with their parent company, The Kroger Co., have raised more than $12 million since 2010 to help support USO programs, which represents the largest cumulative gift to the USO in its nearly 75-year history.
