Sendik’s Store Converting to Piggly Wiggly

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Piggly Wiggly Midwest here said Wednesday that an independently owned Sendik’s store in Brookfield, Wis., will begin trading under the Piggly Wiggly banner effective Aug. 23.

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Piggly Wiggly Midwest here said Wednesday that an independently owned Sendik’s store in Brookfield, Wis., will begin trading under the Piggly Wiggly banner effective Aug. 23.

The store has been a distribution customer of Piggly Wiggly since last June. The store will continue to be operated by owner Sal Sendik and his two sons, Piggly Wiggly said. The store also plans to undergo a $1 million renovation.

Last week Piggly Wiggly said it would convert two Sentry stores to the Piggly Wiggly banner. The conversions will increase its store base to 101 stores.
