ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Earth Fare here recently named Jim St. Charles as vice president of real estate and construction, a new position, to oversee the growth of the natural and organic food company. St. Charles was hired to facilitate the opening of the new Ballantyne store, which has over 26,000 square feet, including a sushi bar and sit-down restaurant. Prior to this position, St. Charles was the regional director of project development for Supervalu, Minneapolis. He has over 30 years of experience in the construction and supermarket industries, having previously worked for Richfood Holdings, Gooding's Supermarkets and Certified Grocer's Association of Florida. Earth Fare has nine stores in the North and South Carolina regions, as well as a distribution center in Fletcher, N.C.
