United Supermarkets, Acosta Marketing and manufacturers are once again teaming up to help fight neuromuscular disease through the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA) Aisles of Smiles promotion. From July 31 to Sept. 3, when guests purchase products labeled with special Aisles of Smiles tags, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to MDA. Participating stores include all United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos and United Express stores in west Texas and Dallas/Fort Worth. Starting Aug. 14 through the end of the promotion, guests will also have the opportunity to purchase Smiley Face scan tags during checkout for as little as $1, with all proceeds going to MDA. Guests are encouraged to write their name on the scan tags to be displayed in stores. “We are proud to work with Acosta and manufacturers to host Aisles of Smiles for the 15th consecutive year,” says Shelby Crews, community relations manager for United Supermarkets, LLC. “Every year we are blown away by our guests’ willingness to help. Last year, we raised $70,779 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and we’re looking forward to continuing our support of families living with neuromuscular disease this year.”
